Wow just got back from Nationals this past week and it was as tough as usual to score down there. This is the first time I had been to Nationals when it was set up in a convention center as I had only been to Reno before and wow it was different. USBC does a great job in setting up lanes and all lane issues were addressed quickly and efficiently by the lane monitors which was great.
The best part of the trip this year was getting to see a friend whom I haven't seen in about four years or so. We used to bowl together here in Oregon alot and since he moved to Florida I haven't gotten the chance to bowl with him again. Well enter Nationals 2008 and we again got to bowl in doubles together, Hillsboro Oregon partners with Zephyrhills Florida and it was a blast. Didn't score great at all but it was about bowling with a great friend and making more friends as he came with a team from Florida. All the guys were cool and I had a great time. So if you guys read this Thanks! The best part is we get to do it again in VEGAS next year! Wow I am not sure I will ever sleep there.
Well as you can tell we will not talk about the scores or anything as it was an adventure to say the least. I am not even going to talk about the 200+ avg bowler who shot 448 in team as he was relentlessly picked on in ALBUQUERQUE. Oops I guess I did mention that sorry Chris. I know I know it could have easily been me too but wow free beer is good beer.
Well anyway time to sign off for this issue of Bowling blog and we will try to update through the summer on how the ball rolls.
